Moral Monday Finds More Hate: Protecting In State College Students From Rate Hikes

Protecting students from tuition rate hikes, establishing a scholarship plan and reducing student fees in the UNC System is hateful, you guys.

SB 873 is just extremist! It’s hateful! It’s racist!

Even though this bill is about the UNC system specifically, Moron Monday says it’s an attack on HBCU’s (Historically Black Colleges and Universities).

The NC NAACP aka Moral Monday’s press release:

Context Is Everything. What Newton Said and What He Meant. [Video] – #HB2

An article by Colin Campbell reads, NC Republicans embrace pro-HB2 religious groups; Democrats distant from NAACP’s Barber.

I am not sure if Campbell realizes how hilarious that headline is to the majority reading it. It’s like saying water is wet and Democrats are allergic to their own dirt.

The article is mainly about the Pro-HB2 rally. Near the end it highlights that Senator Buck Newton spoke at that HB2 Support Rally on Monday, April 25th.

Local media, like Campbell, is making hay over Newton’s comments in an attempt to boost his opponent in the NC Attorney General’s race — former Senator Josh Stein.

Of Course There Were Arrests, That’s How Moral Monday Rolls.

Yesterday there was a rally in support of HB 2 and a series of Moral Monday orchestrated protests, which of course ended up in arrests because that’s how Moral Monday rolls.

The Moral Monday orchestrated ‘volunteering’ to be arrested for a pre-planned civil disobedience event really and truly is getting old. But it’s all they’ve got in their short stack of tricks. Continue reading

Oh Those ‘Mean’ People Who Don’t Want To Pee With The Opposite Sex

From the ‘Jumping The Shark’ files via WNCN:

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – Two people are combating the brewing issues with House Bill 2 by creating a new beer to promote positivity.

Erik Lars Myers, the Founder and Head Brewer of Mystery Brewing Company in Hillsborough and Keil Jansen, the owner and brew-master of Ponysaurus Brewing Company in Durham, are collaborating to make “Don’t Be Mean to People: a golden rule (saison).”

Yes, because HB2 is about being “mean” and not about wanting to feel safe in bathrooms or shower facilities.

Community Organizer Worries About ‘School To Prison Pipeline’ – #nced #ncpol

I’ve written in the past about the ‘school to prison pipeline’ narrative.

The idea is that school discipline practices are discriminatory.

The goal, which organizers will deny, is to have a separate set of discipline rules for minorities and remove any type of police presence from schools.

The tactic is to protest using similar escalating methods like ones we’ve seen at Occupy Wall Street and Black Lives Matter.

The difference is this time, it’s middle school and high school kids. With professional agitators supporting them.

Three groups have been involved in this in North Carolina – Education Justice Alliance, NC HEAT and Youth Organizing Institute.
