#WCPSS Policy Changes on Suspensions
As I mentioned last week along with ending the practice of naming a valedictorian and raising the price of meals, Wake County’s School board took aim at changing its suspension policies.
By the way, Rush Limbaugh had fun with the valedictorian bit on his show last week for those who missed it. I’m sure he’d have a field day with this suspension policy change.

Local High School Assault Makes The Smoking Gun. Oh Good.
In case you missed it, an East Wake High School student bit off a large part of another student’s earlobe during a fight on a Wake county school bus ride on March 4th.
The story was picked up by Hollywood tabloid, The Smoking Gun, calling Romero a “Tyson Wannabe Arrested on Chomping Charge”.

Another Day, Another Video of a Fight in NC Schools – #nced #ncdpi
Last Fall, I wrote about the questions raised by how common place fighting in Wake county schools was becoming.
These fights were being recorded often times with cell phones and uploaded to a Twitter account called #30SecondFights as well as other social media platforms. It came out that Raleigh police had responded to over 200 calls about fights from Wake County Schools.
Well now we have the same type of thing happening in Mecklenburg.
