Behind Moral Mondays: Occupy, Unions, and Socialist.. OH MY!

For months, it has been illustrated that the Moral Monday ‘movement’ was enlisting every Left leaning group in the area. The rhetoric, the organizing — it’s right out of the Blueprint NC playbook. They include Occupy and various offshoots of it, Unions (both in and out of state), Union Social Justice front groups and Socialists. Is Fayetteville Mayoral Candidate Offering Rides, Food For Votes?

Councilwoman Val Applewhite is running for Mayor of Fayetteville. Applewhite charged ahead and won the primary to on October 9th. That boils it down to her and Nat Robertson to battle it out for the Mayor’s seat on November 5th. Applewhite kicked off her campaign with a theme of transparency and accountability:

“For far too long the voices of our citizens have gone unheard,” she said in her statement. “We must now embrace the spirit of transparency and turn the keys to City Hall over to the citizens of this community.”

“I feel that I have an obligation to provide new ways to make our government accountable to its citizens,” she said. – Source: FayObserver

Occupy 2.0: Fast Food Worker Protest In Charlotte, Durham

This past Tuesday, there was another fast food worker protest. This time it was in Charlotte and Durham, this time with the added theme of workers who are also on public assistance. It would seem Occupy 2.0 is still alive in North Carolina – but barely.

Meanwhile in North Carolina, the #ShutUppery continues, however it’s not fairing very well. Greg Flynn and defender John Burns have been silent. Not so much silence from the “NCBlondes”.
