#NCGA Monkey Business With Presidential Primary Date Goes To McCrory
A bill to change North Carolina’s Presidential Primary election date from May to March has been passed by the General Assembly. House Bill 373 was ratified yesterday and today was sent to Governor McCrory for signature.
See how the bill is a set up to screw over come candidates in favor of establishment ones and the money that will flow in and around the 2016 election.

Parents, Are You Watching Data Collection Expansion Bills #HB401 and #HB767?
I sounded the alarm several weeks ago on HB 401, which is titled “Authorize Data Sharing for NCLDS”. This bill will give multiple state agencies access to student data stored in the Statewide Longitudinal Database System (SLDS).
From what I understand, HB 401 will heard by Rules, Calendar, and Operations committee of the House tomorrow. So will a related bill, HB767 (SB560).

#NCGA Proposes Building Rules Changes
The NC General Assembly is proposing some rule changes to for the legislative building and legislative office building areas. This is most likely in response to Moral Monday and the description by Judge Nancy Hamilton that the NCGA’s building’s ‘vague’ rules.

Those ‘vague’ rules have been in place and not revamped since 1987. Up until Moral Monday, there had been no problems with the rules and many protests had taken place — without arrests. Continue reading
