2016 NC Teacher Working Conditions Survey Results
The results of the 2015-16 NC teacher working conditions survey are in.
Of the 119177 teachers in the state, 101846 took the survey. This represents 85.46% of the teachers in the state. Of those taking the survey 88% were classroom teachers. Continue reading

Contract for KEA Still Including All 5 Domains
In the March contracts update at the State Board of Education meeting, the first contract on the list is for the KEA — Kindergarten Entry Assessment.
DPI scaled back the implementation of all five domains, but from the looks of it, DPI is back on track to implement all five domains at some point anyway. But what is concerning is that the contract now mentions “writing learning progressions for eight domains”. Continue reading
