As NC Common Core Commission Wraps Up, DPI Starts 5 YR Annual Review

The NC Common Core commission (known as the ASRC) tasked with reviewing Common Core and making recommendations for removal of the standards is coming to a close, DPI has announced it has begun it’s 5 year annual review of the NC standard course of study.

Professional Lobbyist Pens ANOTHER Letter to NC Common Core Commission – #nced #asrc

Back in March, I reported on a professional lobbyist and PR consultant named Andrew Meehan who penned a letter to the NC Common Core Commission (ASRC) in support of the controversial Standards.

Mr. Meehan has struck again it seems. The Common Core Potemkin Village is well looked after.

This time a group of teachers, that includes members of the Gates backed Hope Street Group, has sent the commission a letter which failed to mentioned Meehan also penned the letter.

When “Education Non-Profits” Attack: WakeEd Partnership – #nced #asrc #ncga

Common Core loving educrats and big biz are coming out of the woodwork these days in North Carolina.

First it was the clueless Wake County School Board stomping their foot and attacking parents who advocated for their child. Then it was the News and Observer’s equally clueless and insulting Editorial board.

Now it’s yet another “education non-profit” racing to protect a set of experimental and fundamentally flawed standards.

Last night over at the News and Observer, an article dropped about “education non-profit” WakeEd Partnership’s outrage that the NC Common Core Commission might actually be fulfilling their assigned task.
