Yeah, About That Teacher Pay Stub With ZERO Details…

People, context, and details make all the difference. A social media post of a teacher’s paystub, which the teacher has now taken down, has zero context and zero details.

The number of emails and messages I received about a viral photo of a North Carolina teacher’s paycheck has prompted me to drop a quick article.

After digging into it, this teacher’s paycheck sob story has more holes in it than a piece of Swiss cheese. The short version:  He makes over $81 dollars a day, not $53.

Complaint: Montessori of Raleigh didn’t act on sex abuse accusations against former teacher

Last year, I reported on a case involving the Montessori School of Raleigh and a teacher at the school, Nicholas Conlon Smith.

Smith has been charged with 33 sex-related felonies involving minors and children.

A complaint has been filed against the school by Smith’s victims for failing to protect them and refusing to act on allegations reported about Smith.

#WCPSS Board Pension for Supt Runs Afoul of State Law; May Cost Taxpayers over $350k

The Wake County School Board is yet again putting the county’s taxpayers over a barrel.

This time the board is facing a self-created problem due to lack of planning:
Former Superintendent Jim Merrill’s excessive pension of $180,036 per year.

But wait, the Wake school board’s latest screw up may end up costing taxpayers a LOT more than that.  What a clown show.
