The case took place in Wilkes Superior Court (Case No. 24CR206230-960).

Hemric received 18 months of unsupervised probation for the cyberstalking and indecent exposure counts, which were consolidated under the lead offense of cyberstalking.

Judge William Anderson Long imposed special conditions:

  • Do not violate any laws.
  • Surrender her teaching license and not reapply for one. Records on file with the state in the teacher license lookup tool, accessed in early 2026, show her license as “suspended.” The state’s teaching license disciplinary records show Hemric voluntarily surrendered her license on Jan. 16, 2024.
  • Have no contact with the victim, named in the records as Ronald Morrison.
  • Pay all costs (total financial assessment: $228.00, which was paid in full on April 14, 2025).

The court record shows Hemric spent 30 days in the custody of the Wilkes County Detention Center on the simple assault count, plus a consecutive 30 days on the cyberstalking/indecent exposure counts for a total of 60 days.

The case record also notes domestic violence (personal relationship) and Victims’ Rights Act findings, but these did not change the core probation or conditions.
