OH NOES! Defacto Leader of the NC Dems Missed A Meal!
I almost hurt my eyes due to rolling them so hard (email in the second half of the article). Reverend Barber missed a meal apparently and it’s all McCrory’s fault.. or something. Barber claims he wants to engage in discussion? Let’s look at what that really means.

Occupy Monday’s #NCGA Welcoming Cmte’s Huge Crowd
Occupy Monday welcomed back the NC General Assembly today… hooraaaaay.
Now, with 78% more hyperbole and indignation! “@NCCapitol: A sequel to last summer’s Moral Monday protests at #ncga set to begin Monday.”
— Trip Radtke (@TripRadtke) May 14, 2014
The union desiring arm of the NCAE (Organize2020) that keeps pushing campaigns using our kids as their couriers was there:
#May14 the #NCGA comes back. @NCAE @ncnaacp @NCStateAFLCIO will be there to greet them. #ForwardTogether #OrganizeTheSouth — Organize 2020 (@Organize2020) May 14, 2014
In the tradition adopted last year, it’s the biggest Moral Monday yet! No, not really:
Dozens. RT @DavidWhisenant: Lots of folks here protesting #ncga policies. @ncnaacp @ncae Short Session starts at noon pic.twitter.com/W5ES1WJ9td — LL1885 – A.P. Dillon (@LadyLiberty1885) May 14, 2014 Continue reading →

Moral Monday Protester Arrested Again
Actions have consequences. Reverend Mendez’s consequences for skipping his Occupy Monday arrest court date got him arrested again and released later on $1,000 bond. Mendez was arrested on the April 28th Occupy Monday. Further down in the article, Mendez claimed he didn’t know about the court date. Really? Maybe he was too busy prepping for and giving the keynote speech at the Black Workers For Justice banquet. Continue reading →

It’s All About The Fame For Barber
News and Record wins the spit-take of the morning award today.
The Rev. William J. Barber II got a call recently from a cruise organizer for The Nation, the 149-year-old weekly magazine with a deep left-leaning fan base.
The caller wanted to know whether Barber, the leader of North Carolina’s NAACP chapter, could spend a week in December cruising the eastern Caribbean as a part of a panel that included Nation publishers, writers and editors, big thinkers and celebrities such as film director Oliver Stone. NCGA Dem Senator’s Aide Goes On Bigoted Rant
The News and Observer ran an article on May 10th entitled, Sen. Phil Berger, self-made and self-certain, is likely the most powerful politician in NC. The article profiled the Senator and highlighted his background and rise as Senate President Pro Tem. The article itself isn’t what caught people’s eye, but a rather inappropriate and at times bigoted rant in the comments by an aide to another NC General Assembly Senator.
That aide is Vicki Spears and she’s the legislative assistant to Senator Michael Walters, who serves the 13th district.
Below are the comments she made on the above mentioned article. In them, Ms. Spears calls Republicans ‘ignorant’, ‘evil’, ‘racist’ and lauds North Carolina as a ‘progressive’ state. She even throws in some Koch brothers at the end as proof of outside spending. Clearly, Ms. Spears is unaware of the barrels of Democrat Dark Money pouring in for Kay Hagan. Ms. Spears also launches an assault on another commenter with the line, “You must be a white old man like the idiot repubs in public office.”
Charming. Continue reading →
