Hagan’s Mississippi Money
The American Spectator has an interesting article up about the antics going on in Mississippi which highlights the group ‘Mississippi Conservatives’ giving money to Democrats. It appears a lot of money in fact and to key vulnerable Democrats. Of note in the story is NC’s biggest complainer about ‘outside’ and ‘dark’ money, Kay Hagan.
Relevant section below, but read the whole thing at American Spectator: Continue reading

About That $30 Billion ‘Secret Fund’…
North Carolina Treasurer Janet Cowell has come under fire for the management of the NC Retirement benefits systems. The claim is that there is a $30 billion dollar secret fund that exists within it. Cowell has flatly denied this allegation. The man making that allegation is Edward Siedle. BizJournals explains:
State Treasurer Janet Cowell not only rejects claims that $30 billion in secret funds exist within the North Carolina Retirement System, but she and her office also question the legitimacy of the organization making the accusation.
Pension forensic investigator Edward Siedle has been vocal in his accusationsthat Cowell and her office cut secret Wall Street deals – a claim Cowell has denied. Via a 145-page report commissioned by the State Employees Association, Siedle and his firm, Benchmark Financial Services, accuse Cowell of flat out breaking the law.
Evil Wall Street 1% type argument being made here or something more locally political? Perhaps Siedle is a subscriber to the “99%” Occupy theme? Or perhaps this has more to do with keeping Cowell from possibly interrupting Attorney General Roy Cooper’s bid for Governor? SEANC used a similar move to discredit Richard Moore during his bid for Governor, why not go to the same well for water twice?

More On Bergdahl: The Anissa Files
By Liberty Speaks
On Saturday, June 7th I contacted Doug Ross with information that I had found regarding Robert Bergdahl and one of his connections on Google+; one was an individual who was a self-proclaimed Al Qaeda member. Doug ran the story titled, ‘WELL, THIS IS INTERESTING: Looks Like Bowe Bergdahl’s Father Was in Contact With Al Qaeda”.
I did a follow-up article on June 8th titled, Robert Bergdahl: In his Circles, which explained the reasons why I went digging in the first place into Robert Bergdahl’s social media accounts. The article, however, did not go into detail on who Anissa bint Youssef Ibn Yusuf Zaid really is, who she says she is, and what other related information I had found including aliases.

Who Wants To Keep Your Kids Tied To Common Core At #NCGA?
Yesterday, HB 1061 passed the House. The Chamber of Commerce Core was there making noise and fear mongering hoping to kill the bill. Did it work? Who wants to keep our schools and children prostrate to two D.C. trade groups and to a flawed, experimental set of standards?
Who voted no to HB 1061?
Representative(s): Adams; Alexander; Baskerville; Bell, L.; Brandon; Carney; Cotham; Cunningham; Earle; Farmer-Butterfield; Fisher; Floyd; Gill; Glazier; Goodman; Graham, C.; Graham, G.; Hall, D.; Hall, L.; Hamilton; Hanes; Harrison; Holley; Insko; Jackson; Lucas; Luebke; Meyer; Michaux; Mobley; Moore, R.; Pierce; Reives; Richardson; Terry; Tine; Tolson; Wilkins; Wray
Every single one of them is a Democrat.
Looks like the very people complaining about “politicizing” the standards have just drawn their own “politicizing” line in the sand… right over our children and their education. Continue reading
