Exclusive: Read NYC Schools Letter Directing Use of ‘Teaching Tolerance’ Materials

The NY Post recently reported that NYC schools were making the addition of Common Core aligned “anti-bias” social studies curriculum from the Southern Poverty Law Center’s offshoot, Teaching Tolerance.

The NY Post cited quotes from Chancellor Carmen Farina on the topic. These quotes seem to have come from a letter sent to employees regarding the use of these materials. This blog has obtained a copy of that letter, which was sent by email to employees on July 14th. Continue reading →

Teaching Tolerance has just rolled out their ‘close reading’ guide.

Parents should read these guidelines and be aware that the majority of Teaching Tolerance suggested reading centers around LGBT issues, racism, white guilt, glorification of illegal aliens and bullying of all kinds. Jazz Jennings Shorter: How Dare Those Parents Actually Parent

I’ve been seeing this story about a ‘school’ who canceled a reading of Jazz Jennings book in my social media feeds. I finally decided to read one and just wow. The narrative was so thick you need a machete to cut through it.

Let me summarize Jazz Jennings “eloquent column”: How dare those parents actually parent.

Chapel Hill Public Library To Host Panel On “Teaching Diversity to Children”
