Hurricane Dorian is gone, however, he left in his wake unprecedented devastation to the Bahamas, and catastrophic flooding in North Carolina.  Though updates are no longer needed, I’m including in this final post information on how to help the Bahamians and their struggles to recover.

In the mean time, I’m creating a separate site for future Hurricanes that hit the coastal United States. It will include evacuation lists, emergency numbers, shelters, flooding maps, social media accounts to follow for info, up to date weather, Govt links, news, live feeds, local emergency bulletins, maps, rescue and relief efforts, and information from others in the areas affected.  Stay prepared, Stay safe

Parents upset teacher cleared of assault charge is back in a Cumberland County Schools classroom

Parents of students at Bill Hefner Elementary in Cumberland County are upset that a teacher cleared of an assault charge is back in their child’s classroom.
Updated: Caudill pled guilty in 2019. The state revoked the teacher’s license in March 2020.

Wilkes County Athletic Trainer indicted by Federal Grand Jury on porn and cyberstalking charges

A former Wilkes County athletic trainer who was arrested earlier this year for sexual exploitation of a minor has been indicted by a Federal Grand Jury according to a statement released by Department of Justice’s U.S. Attorney’s Office
for the Western District of North Carolina.
