A Wake County school teacher has been arrested for inappropriate sexual conduct with five minors, four of which were students at the school he taught at. The incidents date as far back as 2014.

Two Duplin County teachers charged with sex crimes involving students (Update: Convicted)

Two Duplin County Public School teachers have been charged with sex crimes involving former students.

UPDATE: Jessica Daughtry was convicted on June 1, 2022, of two counts of crimes against nature. She was given 24 months in jail to be followed by probation and community service.

Angelica Castro Favela was convicted on Aug. 22, 2022, of one count of attempted crimes against nature. She was given a sentence of 18 months in jail to be followed by probation and community service.

Stanly County teacher charged with indecent liberties involving a student (Update: Convicted)

A former Stanly County Public Schools teacher has been charged with taking indecent liberties with a student.

UPDATE: Richard Joshua Collins was convicted on Aug. 25, 2020, on a charge of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. He was given a suspended sentence of probation and a misdemeanor confinement program.

WCPSS’s Office of Equity Affairs rolls out Black Lives Matter website

The Wake County Public School’s Office of Equity Affairs (OEA) has created a Black Lives Matter themed website to provide “resources” to teachers in order to “teach the movement” in their classrooms.

Law firm expanding investigation into sexual assaults of students in Guilford County Schools

The law firm representing a student who was sexually assaulted by a Guilford County public school teacher is expanding their investigations into the district in light of discovering additional teacher arrests, including “five of whom have been arrested just within the past year.”
