Guilford County Schools assistant football coach arrested on indecent liberties charge (Update: Convicted)

A now-former Guilford County Public Schools assistant football coach was arrested this week on indecent liberty charges involving a student.

UPDATE: Connor Jordan Earp was convicted on Sept. 26, 22, on a charge of sexual battery. He was given probation and was required to register as a sex offender for a minimum of 10 years.

Man working in Winston-Salem district arrested for exposure has record of prior acts

A man working as a contract employee in the Winston-Salem-Forsyth school district was arrested last week for exposing his genitalia on school property in front of a child at the Lewisville Middle School. The man has a prior record that includes similar offenses.

Scotland County teacher charged in 2018 sentenced in plea deal

Wake County Schools employee charged with sexual exploitation of minor (Update: Convicted)

A Wake County Schools employee has been charged with multiple counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.

UPDATE: Steven Wayne Sharpe was convicted on April 27, 2022, on all four counts of second degree sexual exploitation of a minor levied against him.  He was sentenced to a minimum term of 1 year, 3 months and a maximum term: 6 years and 6 months in state prison.
