Moral Monday Moves To Saturday… or Something.
Moral Monday will hold its biggest march ever on a Saturday.
Uh, Moral Saturday. Now, that isn’t catchy and it doesn’t rhyme. Does that make it Sinning Saturday…or something? I guess Occupy with a White Collar is starting again? Great. Time to avoid downtown.
It will, of course, be the biggest EVER! Unions make sure to pad these events well, as I’ve noted their involvement before. Much of the media is complicit; they need to cover up their own connections to Moral Monday and it’s Blueprint NC strategy. Continue reading →

#DM7 Article: A Primer On The Left In NC (IV)
My Latest Magnificent Seven article is up at DaTechGuy: A Primer on the Left In NC (IV)
Last week we looked at Moral Monday in North Carolina and how it’s now spreading to neighboring states. I mentioned that was not a bug but a feature. In this installment, we’ll look at the union ties to Moral Monday, a quick look at a movement I’ve dubbed Occupy 2.0 and how the AFL-CIO’s “Organize the South or Die” campaign all figure into the mix. #DM7: A Primer On The Left In NC (PT III)
My weekly column at Da Tech Guy is up here: A Primer On The Left In NC (PT III)
_____________________
In Part II of A Primer on the Left in NC, we looked at the leader of the “grassroots” Moral Monday movement, Reverend William Barber. This week, it’s important to learn about the start of Moral Monday and their tactics because, as I predicted, it’s spreading. Just this past week, Barber met with various unnamed activists from 12 other states with the intent to help organize Moral Monday’s elsewhere. One of the attendees was Democratic state Sen. Hank Sanders of Alabama. I view this as the reaction of the organized Left realizing how much power is held by the individual states. Too many for the comfort of the Left are under Republican leadership. Continue reading →

My weekly column at Da Tech Guy is up: A Primer On The Left In NC (PT II)
In the last installment, I laid out the back story and one of the main players pulling the multiple strings in North Carolina — NC Justice Center via their non-profit outfit BluePrint NC (BPNC). I left off the last entry introducing Reverend Barber as the face of ‘Moral Monday’ — the most recent series of BPNC campaigns and that is where I pick up this week. Continue reading →

My latest is up at DaTechGuy: A Primer on the Left in NC
Those of you who follow my personal blog might be acquainted with my mapping of the Left in North Carolina already. For those of you just getting to know me and my writing, you’re in for some fun and a little bit of catch-up. Back in May, I wrote about how the Democrats were melting down in North Carolina. Like a Rash… Moral Monday Spreading
First, an obligatory I told you so.
From the Atlanta Progressive News, emphasis added:
(APN) ATLANTA — Since August 19, 2013, a “Moral Monday” movement has been building in Georgia to take back our State government from the interests of corporations and wealthy people. The Moral Monday Georgia Coalition, which includes people of faith and citizens of Georgia, has been meeting every two weeks to plan for progressive actions during the 2014 Legislative Session.
