Six One Seven Scrubs All Accounts Of ‘Grandpa’ Common Core Video
“This video is no longer available because the uploader has closed their YouTube account.”
Well, that was fast.
Missouri Education Watchdog reported that the ‘media’ group, Six One Seven, scrubbed all of their social media accounts and their website of their Common Core video which portrayed an elderly vet in a disgustingly demeaning manner in a vain attempt to boost the image of the standards.
TOO LATE. “Pop-Pop” is immortalized now. Screenshots are forever.

#NCSPIN On Test Scores And ‘Lowering The Bar’ (Video)
Episode #828 of NCSPIN covered the recent release of test scores in North Carolina. The host, Tom Campbell, opens up this portion of the show with a statement of ‘at first glance it looks like our schools made great gains’. The raised passing rate is quoted and then it’s mentioned that the scoring system was changed which made it easier to pass the tests and making it nearly impossible to compare this year to any past year’s scores.

Don’t Like Common Core? You Must Be A Cranky Elderly Veteran…Or Something.
The YouTube Channel profile for ‘Common Core’ states the following; emphasis is mine:
“As a group of film makers we work all the time with schools and teachers from around the country. We heard that many educators have had a tough time getting the word out about the Common Core and dispelling some of the myths that are out there. We created what we hope are fun and humorous stories to do just that.”
Apparently, their idea of fun and humorous is to mock elderly veterans by portraying them as some kind of doddering, conspiracy theory nuts.
No, not kidding. Watch:

‘Average Teacher’ In Hagan Ad Tied To BluePrintNC
In the NC Senate race, Kay Hagan has decided to use a ‘war on schools’ theme for her attacks on Thom Tillis. The NEA advocacy fund has an ad out which leads with a Chapel Hill teacher named Vivian Connell.
The ad portrays her as just some average teacher from North Carolina. She’s not.

NC State Senator Questions #APUSH
North Carolina State Senator Jerry Tillman is questioning the new AP U.S. History (APUSH) framework. (See Tillman’s Newsletter snippet below the fold.)
scG-coleman-unqualifiedHe is wise to do so. APUSH went from a 5 page framework to a 95 page one, which largely marginalizes early U.S. History in favor of a Leftist Global view and includes the theme that America is not exceptional. This new framework totally undermines the teaching of U.S. History both nationwide and in North Carolina. This new framework is led by Common Core architect, David Coleman.
