Iredell-Statesville Teacher Arrested for Statutory Rape, Sex Offenses

An Iredell-Statesville schools teacher has been arrested on charges of statutory rape and sex offenses with a child 15 years old or younger. The victim is allegedly the foster child of the teacher in question.

Christina Davis Jolly, age 43, has been charged with five counts of statutory rape of a child 15-years-old or younger and two counts of statutory sex offense of a child 15-year-old or younger. All 7 charges are felonies.

The male victim, who is only 15 years old, is not a student of Jolly’s but instead was living with her under foster care.

Jolly is currently being held under a $275,000 in secured and unsecured bonds at the Iredell County Detention Center.

The statutory rape charges carry a $200,000 secured bond and the remaining $75,000 is an unsecured bond related to the two sex offense charges.

Jolly has been suspended with pay while the case is ongoing according to the Iredell-Statesville school district.

Jolly has taught at Troutman Elementary School and Troutman Middle School and has been with the district since 2002.

Update on Charles Ray Naas – CMS Teacher Arrested in 2017

Charles Ray Naas, who was arrested in 2017, headed to court this past Monday to face multiple sex charges involving minors.

Charles Naas - CMS - Quiet EpidemicNaas was originally arrested on one felony count of indecent liberties with a student and one felony count of engaging in sex with a student but more charges surfaced. Six additional felony counts of sexual exploitation of a minor were added after his initial arrest.

Naas allegedly duped a student into taking a ‘physical exam’ saying it was a requirement of the district in order for him to tutor the student.
