A Wake County Public Schools assistant principal was arrested on a DWI charge.

Lindsay Kristin Anderson, age 41, was arrested by the N.C. State Highway Patrol on Feb. 24 on a charge of driving while impaired.
The charge is a misdemeanor under N.C. Gen. Stat. § 20-138.1. Driving while impaired charges have a one to five range that considers mitigating and aggravating factors with five being the least severe.
Depending on if the charge is a first offense, Anderson’s license will be revoked for one year under state statute per the NC DMV. A second offense has a penalty of revoking the license for four years and a third or subsequent offense results in permanent license suspension.
Future court dates and bond amount information are not known at this time. Anderson was booked at 9:51 p.m. and bonded out a few hours later at 10:57 p.m.
Anderson is an assistant principal at Willow Springs High School, according to the school’s website.
