Reverend Barber is officially the leader of the NC Democrat Party now. The NC Democrats made an official resolution to support Moral Monday rallies. I am sure the few remaining centrists within the NC Dem party are thrilled. The more irrelevant they become, the more irrelevant and extremist they make themselves. I’m reminded of a quote:
“If you think shrinking government and getting it less involved in your life is a hallmark of tyranny it is only because you are either grotesquely ignorant or because you subscribe to a statist ideology that believes the expansion of the state is the expansion of liberty.”

NC Democrats Officially Endorse Moral Monday Political Rallies
Raleigh, NC – The North Carolina Democrat Party held their convention this weekend and officially endorsed the “moral Monday” Hagan reelection campaign rallies:
- “THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the North Carolina Democratic Party adopts this resolution to support and promote the concept and principals of Moral Monday rallies and the progressive values these rallies stand for.” (North Carolina Democratic Party)
This says a lot about North Carolina Democrats that they would embrace Kay Hagan’s unofficial spokesman and his offensive rhetoric
. In the past, Barber has called South Carolina U.S. Senator Tim Scott a “ventriloquist’s dummy,” then refused to apologize.
Meanwhile, Kay Hagan continues her silence. Two weeks ago, Hagan skipped Barber’s political rally even though the U.S. Senate was out of session and she was in Raleigh to attend an event for the League of Conservation Voters, a liberal special interest group that has endorsed her campaign.
“It was only a matter of time until the North Carolina Democrat Party officially endorsed their de facto leader The Rev. William Barber and his ‘moral Monday’ partisan political rallies,” said North Carolina Republican Party spokesman William Allison. “When will Kay Hagan stand next to Barber and endorse his offensive rhetoric and fringe, left-wing agenda?”
