New Hanover Election Protest Reveals Voter Disenfranchisement

Two election protests were filed last week with the New Hanover County Board of Elections in November by John Christian Anderson, both of which were swiftly dismissed.

In related news, the State Board of Elections had dispatched investigators to Bladen County and at an emergency meeting held by the State Board of Elections, Kim Strach was asked by board member Joshua Malcolm if the investigators had reason to believe there was serious concern over the Bladen county situation, to which she replied, “Yes, sir.” Continue reading

The Strained Relationship Between The News & Observer and Facts (UPDATED)

With all the talk about “fake news” as of late, as well as the credibility hit the mainstream media took in the aftermath of the surprise victory of Donald Trump, you’d think news outlets would be taking concrete steps to make improvements in the accuracy of their reporting.

Lawsuit Against NC Board of Elections Filed Over Same-Day Registrants

Raleigh, NC –  A conservative non-profit has filed a federal lawsuit to request a restraining order against the North Carolina State Board of Elections over the inclusion of votes cast in the 2016 election by same-day registrants.

The suit, filed by the Civitas Institute, contends that counting same-day registrants ballots in the certified results before the voter registrations can be verified violates state law. Continue reading
