12 additional charges have been added to the charge list against a Union County middle school teacher, bringing the total to 28 sexual related felony counts.

As reported at the end of May, David Wade Stanford, age 35, was charged with 16 felonies. The original charges included four counts of indecent liberties with a child, four counts of indecent liberties with a student, four counts of statutory sex offense and four counts of crimes against nature.

A crimes against nature charge usually requires an act of penetration and usually indicates sodomy or bestiality, however, it can in some cases refer to oral sex.

The Union County Sheriff’s office has announced they have charged Stanford with an additional four counts of indecent liberties with a student, four counts of indecent liberties with a child and four counts of simple assault.

The original set of 16 charges stem from incidents which occurred sometime during 2014 and 2015. The new charges are due to two more victims who have come forward to accuse Stanford.
