In the space of a week NCAE’s protest arm, Organize2020, went from ‘happy to answer questions‘ to hurling insults when I asked one they didn’t want to answer. Specifically, I asked who I was talking to in our first conversation.
It’s worth noting here THEY followed ME and initiated said conversation. Here’s the bulk of it, a few straggler tweets are at the bottom. See it on Twitter here.

<– Not confidence inspiring that an “education communications organization” can’t seem to spot my real name on my Twitter account?
<– Neither is this.
<– Nice dodge/insult.
<– Just answer the question!
I was then treated to being told it was none of my business who was tweeting from an NCAE affiliated organization account. It was “silly”:
@jenjhall@LadyLiberty1885 Questions r fine, but the idea that we’re going to post personal info abt our team is silly. Next question pls.

@Organize2020 I’m only asking for the name of person who tweeted to me the other night. What’s hard about that? #ncpol #nced @jenjhall

A name is not your personal life. RT @Organize2020: @jenjhall @LadyLiberty1885 stick to education issues not people’s personal lives.

I am sticking to education issues. The issue is this group has been pushing protest style action days to be held at schools (sometimes during school hours) since last Fall. That makes who they are relevant to all. I’m not a monster, I know what it means to be outed online, however this group is a public entity affiliated with the NCAE. There is a big difference between people organizing protest events in area schools and a stay at home mom blogger. #SelfAwareness
Same standard applies to Aim Higher NC. I’ve asked the NCAE account for four days in a row about their involvement and received no reply.
Day Four. Still waiting. => @ncae Hello. I have a question. Is the NCAE responsible for the formation of @AimHigherNC? Thank you!
