In 2017, a teacher at Ledford Middle School in Davidson County was accused of and arrested on multiple sex offense charges with a male minor student.
The teacher has entered a plea deal and has been sentenced to two years supervised probation and was allowed to go on a pre-planned vacation to Florida.
Lee Annette Williams, 50, taught sixth-grade language arts at Ledford Middle School in Davidson County and in 2017 was charged with the sexual assault of a former student eight years ago. The victim was only 14 years old at the time.
Williams resigned from the Davidson County school system in December of 2017 after being suspended following her arrest.
Williams was originally charged with three counts of statutory rape, three counts each of statutory sex offenses and four counts of incident liberties with a child. At the time of her arrest, Williams posted a $50,000 secured bond.
On May 29th, Williams entered a guilty plea for one felony count of ‘crimes against nature’ apparently as part of a deal to drop the other charges against her.
Williams was sentenced to two years of supervised probation and must register as a sex offender. Williams was also ordered to no contact with the victim or the family of the victim. According to court records, a mental health evaluation was also ordered for Williams.
Less than a month after her sentencing, Williams was allowed to go on vacation to Florida according to Journal Now.
