If you didn’t see the Charlotte Observer today, consider yourself lucky. You might have lost IQ points reading this one.
A “retired CMS history teacher” alleges that there were transgender civil war soldiers, therefore HB2 is an insult to “common sense”.
No, I’m not kidding.
A “HISTORY” teacher just labeled the women who disguised themselves as men in order to fight in the Civil War as being the same as transgender males who are currently fighting to pee in the Men’s bathroom.
Dear Mr. Hoyle, stop embarrassing my state with your incredible abuse of history to suit your political narrative.
Our ancestors would likely have shot a man trying to pee or shower next to a lady. Actually, some of those ladies probably would have shot them themselves.
It’s a damn good thing you retired, sir, however, one must shudder to think what ideas you imposed on your students over the years. The damage is already done.

This is a prime example of “educators” who twist and torture facts to serve their social agenda.
I served 20 years in the military but only lasted 7 years in our public socialist indoctrination centers.

THIS is how history is incorrectly rewritten. They teach our children. Sad indeed. Had the learned Mr. Hoyle’s ancestors found an individual declaring themselves to be “transgender”, they would have expediently admitted them to the local state hospital. THAT would be fact, Mr. Hoyle.

“Civil War soldiers who were later discovered to be female” were not transgenders, as the learned history teacher would have us believe, they were women disguised in the dress and manner of men so they could fight for their chosen country in a then-male-only profession.
