Gov. Pat McCrory is getting praise from an unexpected party in the Rev. William Barber, president of the North Carolina NAACP. In a press release today, Barber applauded McCrory the Republican-driven effort to repeal the Common Core education standards “is not a smart move.” Different bills that could lead to Common Core being pulled from North Carolina’s public schools were passed this week by the state House and state Senate.
