Well, Hot Air certainly has an interesting story up on Kay Hagan and it’s not about Obamacare. Well, not all of it. Excerpt:
Even better, Hagan tries to hit Tillis for supporting special interests. It’s fairly shocking that Kay Hagan would attack anyone on special interests. Her list of special interests and lobbyist backers — including her buddy Tony Podesta – is as long as your arm. (See here, here andhere for starters.) This isn’t even counting the $1million+ that political action committees have poured into her campaign or her financial reports from her time in state legislature. This has led some to begin calling her “Special Interest Kay.”
There’s one seriously hilarious sub-plot to this story as it unfolds in the Tar Heel state. One of the bigger Democrat super pacs, the Senate Majority PAC, is out there doing their best to defend all of Hagan’s good work in implementing Obamacare. Of course, they had to find a way to do it without actually mentioning the Affordable Care Act by name.
The Senate Majority PAC is up with another bigad buy on behalf of Sen. Kay Hagan (D-N.C.), atop GOP target in 2014. The ad focuses on stressing Hagan’s support ofaspects of ObamaCare — without once mentioningthe law by name — and criticizing her most likely opponent, North Carolina House Speaker Thom Tillis (R), on healthcare issues.
Ouch. My favorite bit is the part about the invite to Podesta’s Italian home. Real first world problems there. Not surprisingly, one of the top industries giving the most to Hagan consistently is real estate with $372,426, but lawyers go well beyond that, coming with $936,035.
Quick reminder, Podesta held a fundraiser for Hillary at his NY pad back in 2007. I’m sure he’ll oblige again. Also, he’s the brother of the recently added fixer/lobbyist, John Podesta.
Special Interests Kay Loves Her Villain Emails

Oooh, scary Koch brothers… they send variations of this email about every other day. It’s really gotten rather tedious. So are the desperate ramblings of her supporters. It’s almost too easy to dispatch them.
Hot Air documenting all of Hagan’s special interest money is good. Her hypocrisy filled fundraising emails engineered by her hired campaign guns have been going on for months; glad to see others noting it as well. Lots of money flying Hagan’s way.
Maybe Hot Air could add involvement in Pigford to the list for Special Interests Kay. She co-sponsored the legislation behind it. Where’s the local or national media on that? *Crickets*
Kay’s Special Interest Friends she’s made in just one term in office really know how to ply a gal with money:
