Hagan Gets Bloomy’s Money

Another day, another whiny email from the Special Interests Kay Hagan campaign about outside money attacking her. Looks like she’s not busy enough dodging her 24 Obamacare lies.

You see, Special Interest Kay only complains about people spending money against her. When it’s for her? Well, shut up.. because Koch Brothers, Karl Rove.. or something. Just look at the pile of money Mike Bloomberg just dropped on Harry Reid’s Super PAC to help her out:

“Former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg donated $2.5 million to a super PAC aimed at helping Senate Democrats maintain their majority, a potentially significant development that could have a big impact in 2014.

Bloomberg, one of the richest men in the world, made the donation to Senate Majority PAC, which is run by former aides to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) and other top Democrats.” – Source: Politico

The first buy in was nearly $400k. The Senate Majority PAC has given Special Interest Kay  $1 million in ads defending her — so far.

Well, actually $1, 061, 056.20 to be exact:

Spending on Special Interest Kay as of 1-7-14 by Senate Majority PAC

I called Hagan’s District of Criminals office yesterday…rang and rang, never an answer. Called the Gboro, Asheville and Rawliegh offices…the smart dude at the Rawliegh office kept saying he would ‘take my opinion’ for the Senator, even though I repeatedly said ‘this is a DIRECT QUESTION, NOT an opinion’…he never did understand that…the question IS “WHY does Sen. Hagan continue to work against buying health insurance across state lines?” ‘Does she not realize that most everyone WANTs that option???

Kay Hagan’s tail is in a tight crack folks !!!

L-Lady — anyone talking about Kay’s deplorable constituent services yet? Every time I’ve called her office, I’ve been gravely disappointed with the response. Badly trained staff, all issuing partisan hack answers, and of course, no help with predictable issues (ie, issues with ACA since Oct 1). It’s one thing to have a Senator whose voting record you can’t agree with, but still another to have a Senator that won’t lift a finger to help you out when the gov’t screws you over.

    • I’ve never gotten them to write me back other than a form letter. If you have a story to share – feel free~!

In 2 consecutive calls concerning Obamacare: “Call the IRS” suggested one staffer when I asked about income verification for unemployed people. “Call the White House” when I called to ask about Obama’s rule change allowing people to keep their catastrophic policies.

Previously, when I called to ask why Kay was backing the NC voting change actions by Holder (like NC’s voting rules are properly the domain of the US Senate?!?!), I got the hard core party line… “Lot more in that bill besides photo ID” although the twerp on the phone couldn’t really tell me why black people can’t vote in 5 days time.

So if Kay isn’t “leadership” and she’s not there to help people work the bureaucracy, or to vote in the interests of the folks back home, why does she keep her seat?

Debbie Stabenow (D-MI) is horrible on camera, is out of step with 2/3 of her state, and certainly is NOT leadership and can be counted on 100% agreement with Sen. Reid. HOWEVER, she got her seat and keeps it idue to her great constituent services. She has subject matter experts on staff, in ample supply, to help Michigan residents negotiate the bureaucracy. Her staff follows up on issues and give the impression that they are listening and do care — far from the form letter response. So the GOP there can barely find opposition, simply because every day there is a growing list of those who know that Debbie will help them work the system — and that list includes a good number of Republicans.
