Additional charges were added to Holland on May 4, 2020, that included three counts of statutory rape of a child by an adult two counts of statutory sex offense with a child by an adult one count of indecent liberties with a child

He had been a teaching assistant at Dudley High School at the time of his arrest.

Civil class action lawsuits were filed against Holland and the Guilford County Board of Education by the Rhine Law Firm, P.C., and Lea/Schultz Law Firm, P.C.

Martin Ramey, of the Rhine Law Firm, tells this website that there are more students for whom he faces charges that were not part of this first trial.

“We represent the victim that was the basis for these charges, as well as a second victim who testified during the trial,” Ramey said in an email.

He also indicated his firm has a civil suit pending against the district and will be in court on Monday, the 8th. The suit will be arguing to amend the complaint “to allow claims against other teachers and administrators based on their negligence in hiring and retaining Holland.”

Holland’s conviction is the 13th out of the 28 arrests that occurred in 2020 tracked by this website.
