A former East Lincoln High School soccer coach was arrested last week on charges related to a sexual assault on a minor.

Victim /Case Details: 

Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to investigate a complaint of a sexual assault of a minor on Wednesday, May 15. Following an investigation, an arrest warrant was issued.

Fletcher is accused of getting a young male exceedingly drunk and then fondling and sexually assaulting him at the Ocean Lakes Campground in Horry County in April 2023. Per the arrest warrant, between the evening of April 10 and the early morning of April 11, Fletcher “non-consensually fondled the juvenile victim after pulling down his pants and exposing the victim’s bare penis.”

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office was only informed of the alleged 2023 incident in May of 2024. Arrest records show the May 17 arrest took place over the border in Gaffney, South Carolina. He did not fight extradition back to NC.

The arrest record for the charges associated with the May 20 arrest are for outstanding warrants in Catawba County.

Fletcher has a pending court case in Mecklenburg County; citation for failure to wear a seat belt (3/10/24). He also has a 2020 speeding charge (doing 50 in a 35) in High Point on his record. The 2020 case was disposed.
