On March 6, 2024, administrators with the Davidson County School System became aware of a possible inappropriate relationship between a faculty member and a student at North Davidson High School. They immediately alerted investigators with the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division and an investigation was initiated.
The Faculty Member, Jackson Alexander Perrell was suspended from his duties and detained by detectives for further investigation. After a preliminary Investigation Detectives have initially charged Perrell with one count of Indecent Liberties with a Student. Perrell was taken to the Davidson County Magistrate and received a court date of April 30, 2024 in Davidson County.

Additional information:
At Perrell’s arraignment hearing, the magistrate ordered Perrell not to have any contact with the girl, including going to any location where the alleged victim may be. He was also ordered to stay off all Davidson County Schools or Lexington City Schools properties and is prohibited from unsupervised contact with any minor under the age of 18.

Additionally, Perrell was required to submit a DNA sample to the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office.
