After an investigation yielded more details and evidence, warrants were issued on April 16 for the arrest of Bryan Keith Wyatt, age 58, on three counts of indecent liberties with a child.

The warrants were served and Wyatt was issued a $25,000 secured bond. His next court date is June 3.

Wyatt had been employed as a substitute teacher with Yadkin County Schools in 2017, but  Yadkin School officials say he has not been employed with the district since then.

More recently, Wyatt ran unsuccessfully for a seat on the Yadkin County Board of Education in 2019. Of the six candidates running, he came in dead last.

Wyatt had also run for a spot on the Yadkin County Board of Commissioners in 2016 but came in last in the primary.

There is no North Carolina teaching license on file for Bryan Wyatt.
