Not The Onion: “tensions that often surface in non-violence transformational movements”

The NC NAACP would like you to know they are addressing the “tensions that often surface in non-violence transformational movements“.

Also, the man who shot officers Ramos and Liu is a “mentally insane man”.

See the press release below.

Join us today at 3:00 p.m. in Raleigh to participate in a
Service to address the tensions that often surface in non-violence transformational movements
December 28, 2014
3:00 p.m.
First Baptist Church
101 S. Wilmington St. Raleigh, NC
Today’s service is organized by N.C. civil rights leader Bruce Lightner and will include an address from Rev. Dr. William J. Barber, II, president of the NC NAACP. Yesterday, millions watched the funeral of Rafael Ramos. A mentally insane man killed Ramos and Wenjian Liu, New York police officers, along with his ex-girlfriend and himself earlier this month. We will gather today to discuss the distinctions between building a peaceful militant Movement against Racism and poverty, as we are seeing grow and build across the country, and heinous acts of terrorist violence by individuals.

  2. Liberty Speaks says:

Okay, so the individual who shot and killed two officers was a “Mentally Insane Man”. Not mentioning race nor documented motive for the assassination. When there is a homicide committed against an African American, by anyone that is not African American, the first words out of their mouth is a “White” individual or a “White Cop” murdered someone. Their mental state is not brought up, ever. Priceless hypocrisy.

  3. I am sure WRAL & the McClatchy Gang will provided FULL Coverage.
