NC Educrat Bloat Continues With $121k Hire

Dr. Terry Stoops over at John Locke picked up on the new hire at Department of Public Instruction that I meant to write about yesterday.

Are three associate superintendents enough?  Not for the N.C. Department of Public Instruction and State Board of Education!

Tracy Weeks, former executive director of the N.C. Virtual Public School, is the state’s newest associate superintendent, joining fellow associate superintendents Rebecca Garland, Martez Hill, and Philip Price.  Last month, Weeks received an $11,000 raise to bring her annual salary to $121,000.  – John Locke Foundation

Meanwhile, Dr. Atkinson is touring the state doing some hand-wringing over teacher pay while dodging questions about her Presidency at the CCSSO being in conflict with the ongoing Common Core controversy.
