What #NCGA Reps Voted NO to #SB812? See The List.

The NC General Assembly’s House passed SB 812 by a vote of 74-40. The vote was originally 75-39, but someone, somewhere flipped. Aside from a few Democrats who voted to pass it, the rest all voted no to regaining our state’s educational sovereignty and providing a true education for our children.

Here are the NO votes – all of them Democrats:

Representative(s): Adams; Alexander; Baskerville; Bell, L.; Brandon; Carney; Cotham; Cunningham; Earle; Farmer-Butterfield; Fisher; Floyd; Gill; Glazier; Goodman; Graham, C.; Graham, G.; Hall, D.; Hall, L.; Hamilton; Hanes; Harrison; Holley; Insko; Jackson; Lucas; Luebke; Martin, G; Meyer; Michaux; Mobley; Moore, R.; Pierce; Reives; Richardson; Terry; Tine; Tolson; Wilkins; Wray

Here are the YES votes:

Not Voting: Speaker of the House Tillis (that’s normal, people.)
Excused Absences (All Republican): Arp; Bryan; Fulghum; Lambeth; Moffitt

Had all five excused Representatives been there, the count likely might have been 79-40.

These Representatives who voted for this bill should be congratulated and thanked for their service today in working towards restoring the integrity of our educational system and for championing the children of North Carolina.  Please consider taking time out to call your Representative and the House Leadership to thank them.

From me personally, I am thankful that common sense and the truth have prevailed today. We are fortunate to have the leadership of Speaker Thom Tillis and Speaker Pro Tempore Paul Stam guiding the House for this important bill. I offer my humble thanks to the House Leadership and to all the Representatives who made this happen today.
