A Cleveland County Public Schools guidance counselor is facing sex crime charges linked to an incident in 2022.

Victim /Case Details:

Kings Mountain Police received a report of a possible sexual assault on a child on Jan. 17 from the Cleveland County Department of Social Services.
Police investigated and turned their findings over to the county district attorney’s office on Feb. 21. The incidents investigated were determined to have happened two years ago. The victim was not a student at the school where Ledford works.
On Feb. 23, warrants were issued and Ledford turned himself in to police.
