Kay Hagan’s campaign tried to claim the high ground in 2008, but it seems her campaign this year is all about ‘slinging mud’ hoping it sticks. Hagan needs to make something stick.  Hagan is responsible for bringing Obamacare across the finish line and for half a million North Carolinians losing their health insurance because of that.

Judging by the daily deluge of Koch Brothers obsessed fundraising emails, it  looks like Kay Hagan hasn’t learned any new tricks and is still blaming “special interests”. Meanwhile, Harry Reid and his billionaire pal Tom Steyer pumps money into Hagan’s campaign alongside far Left special interests like Emily’s List.

FLASHBACK: October 2008, Kay Hagan claimed “nasty political attacks” can’t slow her down, because “that kind of stuff one create one new job, lower gas prices or protect your savings”.

 

FLASHFORWARD: Jobs, Gas and Special Interests. Hagan has done nothing about the first two but embraces the third.

Jobs? Despite Kay Hagan and Harry Reid’s do-nothing Senate, North Carolina has added jobs and pulled itself away from the drain-circling Obama economy. Despite what Hagan may claim, she had no part in the Carolina Comeback.

Gas prices? In North Carolina, the average price hovered around $1.52. Just after Hagan and Obama took office, prices began to climb and never came down. In fact, gas prices have stayed well above $3 a gallon ever since.
