Political Correctness Is Evil – Part II

“Political correctness is tyranny with manners.” Charlton Heston

Those ‘manners’ have been dropped by those who have been forcing Political Correctness on the rest of society, using it like a shield to do and say what they please and making the rest of us pay for it – quite literally.

Behold the mentality wrought through decades of the application of Liberalism and Political Correctness:

Listen to the messages in that video – ‘The rich are to blame.’  ‘Business owners need to be taught a lesson.’  Other looters interviewed wanted ‘their taxes back’ and hence they destroyed businesses? This feels more like an excuse to rip off stores for personal gain rather than making a statement to the government there, however the riots of London are a mixed bag of a welfare state imploding and the decaying morality of a society. Slightly ironic that Political Correctness has smothered the very people who espoused it.

Bubbling to the surface, in both the U.K. and the U.S, is this breed of people who think they can do what they want with no consequences. They have been raised in a Liberal praised atmosphere where opposing voices have been silenced via Political Correctness, so why shouldn’t they think they can do what they want? The government has given them free healthcare, free educations, free housing and free money via their welfare system. They’ve no idea what making one’s own way in life is about. Thusly, their alleged raging at the government is misplaced.

Both abroad and at home, a moral decay has set in. A tacit approval of anything that celebrates ‘the whole’  or ‘common good’ over the liberty of the individual has settled in. I could go on for several pages detailing said decline and the roots of Liberalism today, but it suffices to say for this article that there is an ethos that has been created that establishes self-reliance is an evil and along with it ‘The Establishment’ (Business/capitalism etc) is Satan itself. These are evils that are to be resented, shunned and thwarted. This ethos has a hypocrisy embroiled within it, because The Establishment is what allows these people to live the dependent lifestyle that they do. “Give a man a fish and he’ll riot for free fish.

No amount of legislation, funding, programs or the like can fill the void of self-reliance in these people. By taking as much Government cheese as they can eat they have, in essence, created their own cages. To compound that void, no one is shaming them.  No one was confronting them. No one did confront them and survived long enough to be taken seriously as they were set up on with the labels of the Left post-haste. Labels like ‘racist’, ‘extremist’ and ‘fascist’. No one openly and bluntly stood up and said what needed to be said until riots literally broke out.

While her brave and correct speech to looters is admirable, it took this crisis for anyone to speak out like this. Their media and lefty pundits tactics mirror the ones in the United States quite a bit – they both came to the defense of the looters.  It’s no wonder no one is speaking out when you have politically correct media giant in the UK like the BBC  airing Leftist Mayor, Ken Livingstone, making statements like, “The rioting, he said, is “the fault of the government because basically, you go all over London, I was up in Tottenham. Tottenham has had a 9 percent cut nearly in its government grant. The youth centers are closing, people are seeing all the sort of things they used to rely on going.”  They Left has come out condemning Austerity measures. Did you catch that? The Left is blaming the Riots on the Right cutting spending. Spending on entitlements that had to be cut back. Sound familiar? It should because that is what we have seen in Wisconsin for example, only in our country the Unions have provided an incendiary third party in the game. The reality, however, is this is the result of Political Correctness dictates and failed Liberal Policy.

In case it has escaped anyone’s notice, for the last year and a half the United States has been undergoing smaller versions of the London rioting. They are called Flash Mobs. No, not the coordinated spontaneous dance groups that have gone viral on YouTube. These are groups of young people swarming a business and effectively pulling a mini-riot by looting it as a group. Where the Political Correctness comes into play here is the Media omitting the race these mobs are mainly comprised of: Blacks. I am certain someone reading this will point at me now and yell, ‘That’s raaaaaacist!’ Go ahead, the truth has no race.

These Flash Mobs have turned violent, with racial facets now becoming clearer and are happening with greater frequency. One site has taken to tracking them: http://violentflashmobs.com/  I would bookmark that one if I were you.

These Flash Mobs were not without inspiration. The Wisconsin protests of Governor Walker’s budget cuts set the stage. The same Liberal thinking (or lack of thinking at all one could argue) we saw in London was already found in Wisconsin. Remember what we have been hearing for almost three years out of the Democrats and White House: businesses are evil and those owning businesses should be paying their fair share. Now consider what this ‘Noodles’ employee thinks about business and business owners in this clip:

Now go back to the beginning of this article and revisit what went down in the UK. Then consider these flash mobs bearing in mind the fact that the largest portion of unemployed people in the United States are between the ages of 16 and 20 years old. A frightening example of this is, ironically, in Washington, D.C. where the “average unemployment rate for teens ages 16 to 19 in the District of Columbia was 50.1 percent as of June 2011.

Will we end up like London? Ambushed violently by portions of our own society who have also been raised on decades of ever multiplying entitlement programs? Enabled to continue to do so by Politically Correct Mainstream media outlets that make shouting down those who champion self-reliance a National Sport? Not me. I have had enough. I think a lot of us have had more than they wish to take anymore, but I am not going to speak for them. They need to speak for themselves – here and now. I have said before, these are not times for being timid. Not a time for minding your peas and Q’s.

I said it before and I will continue to say it, Political Correctness is evil. When discussing the topic, I am always reminded of the quote by Edmond Burke, “All that is necessary for evil to triumph is that good men to do nothing.”  This country was not fought for so that we can lie down and surrender our most basic Liberty, Freedom of Speech, by submitting to Political Correctness – which leads down the path, ultimately, to Socialism. So do something: Open your mouth.
