Sheriff Danny H. Rogers reports that on August 31, 2024, Deputies from the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office (GCSO) Major Crimes Investigative Unit arrested 40-year-old Michael David Evans with the following charges:
8 Felony Secret Peeping under N.C. General Statute 14-202.4 (A)
8 Felony Indecent Liberties with a Student under N.C. General Statute 14-202
Evans is a former teacher at Summerfield Charter Academy located at 5303 US 220, Summerfield, NC 27358. He is currently being held at the Guilford County Detention Center in Greensboro under a $200,000 secured bond until his first appearance on September 3, 2024.
The Summerfield Charter Academy is cooperating fully with the investigation. This investigation is ongoing, and no further information will be released at this time.
