Lie Of The Year Hits Small Business In NC #NCSEN

If small businesses like offering healthcare to their employees, can they keep it? It’s looking like no.

Small businesses are being smacked around by the rising costs due to Obamacare. It looks like Kay Hagan can add another lie to her list. Kay Hagan made the opposite claim in 2010, saying small business would benefit from Obamacare. She even made that claim on the Senate floor.

Hagan repeated there would be “a lot of positives” for small business in Obamacare just last August in an interview on WCCB. Hagan stated in that interview with WCCB that, “First I want to ask the question, how large is your small business? If it’s fifty employees or less, the new Affordable Care Act doesn’t apply to you at all. So that’s off the equation.”

Well, Kay, apparently that’s just not true. Just ask Julie Vittorio, owner of Fresh Salon.
