Headed back to $4.00 Gas *Crickets*

Anyone noticing gas has been creeping up the last couple of weeks? Remember when I said that releasing all those barrels from the Strategic Reserves would barely make a dent and then we’d see prices heading up, up and away again by August? Yeah, well I wish I wasn’t right, but I am.

I’ve been noting the station down the street from me and inside of two weeks it has gone from a low of $3.67 to a new high of $3.80 today. AAA Fuel Gauge Report, as of 8/4/2011 3:04:34 AM, listed gas averaging $3.703 a gallon for regular. A month ago that was $3.562. Some states are already over the $4.00 mark (Alaska, Hawaii, Connecticut) and New York is just under at $3.97 a gallon. This is the Obama promise that we wish he would take back. Hey Rube!
