Additional counts have been added to a Winston-Salem Forsyth County Public Schools (WSFS) teacher who was recently arrested and charged with sex crimes involving a student.
According to a press release by the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO), officers arrested and charged the Walkertown Middle School teacher Carly Erin Kaczmarek with five additional felonies earlier today.
The five additional charges include one count of Statutory Rape, two counts of Sexual Activity with a Student and two counts of Indecent Liberties with a Student.
Kaczmarek is still being held at the Forsyth County Detention Center under a secured bond on the new charges set at $50,000.00 pending a court date of 05-21-20.

The 32-year-old Kaczmarek was first arrested and charged on March 6 with felony sexual activity with a student and felony indecent liberties with a student.
The latest round of charges brings Kaczmarek’s total to one Count Statutory Rape, three Counts Sexual Activity with a Student and three Counts Indecent Liberties with a Student
Statutory Rape is a Class B1 felony that carries a sentence of 144 months to life without parole.
Indecent liberties with a student is a Class I felony that carried a 3 to 12-month sentence.
Sexual activity with a student is a Class G felony with a sentence of 8 to 31 months.
Kaczmarek has an active North Carolina teaching license in the areas of Elementary Education (K-6), Social Studies 6-9, Social Studies: History 9-12.
