Media Can’t Even Leave Christmas Decorations Alone

Christmas decorations are the latest attack on the Trump White House by media.

Debra Heine at PJ Media has the sad details:

Did you know that those exquisite White House Christmas decorations First Lady Melania Trump proudly unveiled yesterday are “spooky,” “spine-chilling,” and “nightmarish” — like scenes from Mordor, Narnia, or The Shining?

It took most of the day yesterday, but by nightfall, the Trump-hating media was able to settle on an unfavorable narrative with which to belittle the newly unveiled decor.

What’s not to like? According to HuffPost, the “Spooky White House Christmas Chamber Is Creeping Everyone The Heck Out.” “One chamber in particular is getting attention online for all the wrong reasons. It’s a twig-lined hallway that’s being compared to everything from ‘The Shining’ to ‘The Blair Witch Project,'” HuffPo wrote.

Read the whole thing. The only thing scary or spooky here is the reporting by outlets with clear cases of Trump Derangement Syndrome or snobby ‘fashion’ magazines like Elle or Vogue. This is the kind of petty ‘reporting’ I’ve dubbed ‘Trump Era Media’. Americans will have to endure for the next three years – or tune it out.

How is this NOT gorgeous?

The decorations throughout the White House, whether you like the Trump’s or not, are actually quite stunning. Even the alleged ‘spooky’ hallway has a wintery/enchanted allure.

According to the White House,  First Lady Melania Trump held a special gathering for more than 150 volunteers from 29 states who helped her make the vision for the White House’s Christmas decorations a reality.

Decorations include a “Gold Star Family Tree” in the East Wing and some details on the decorations that now adorn the White House. 53 trees were decorated, 31,000 cookies were baked, 1,000 feet of garland was hung along with 12,000 ornaments.
