#NCSEn: 2nd Debate Wrap-Up

Last night was a case study in dodging questions by Kay Hagan. The only real answers came in a post-debate conference where she admitted she skipped an Armed Services committee meeting on ISIS to go fundraise instead.

Read about that and more in my Storify article.

Senator Tillman also calls Hagan out on the carpet for her erroneous claims last night:

Misinformed, Uninformed, or Lying

Kay Hagan has a serious case of one or more of the maladies listed above. You can make your own decision of which one, or more, she suffers from. I saw her in action when we served together for six years in the state Senate. I know her well. For Hagan or anyone else to blatantly and repeatedly say Thom Tillis cut education $500 million is either misinformed, uninformed, or lying…

All anyone needs to do is look at the last two Democrat budgets and the last two – and only two – budgets Tillis presided over in the House. Apparently Hagan hasn’t bothered to check the arithmetic. The enacted Democrat budgets show nearly a BILLION dollars cut to education. The GOP (Tillis years) show nearly abillion dollar increase. I repeat; is Hagan misinformed, uninformed, or lying – whichever – she has a serious case of it – could it be fatal? I don’t know. We’ll see…

Note: Factcheck.org found spending increased by more than $700 million from the 2012-13 school year to the 2014-15 school year. The two year decrease (Democrats’ budget) was more than $800 million. Nuff said. You’ll see…
