Oceania Rejects Ministry of Truth

Anderson Cooper decided to do his job on Friday (probably because CNN was about to be thrown under the bus by the White House) and announced CNN had obtained Ambassador Stevens journal from the burned out Consulate in Libya. Cooper also admitted CNN used it for reporting purposes, after telling the family they would not, 4 days later.

On Saturday the 22nd, CNN released its version of events on how they came by the journal. The report is short and does not mention exactly who the journal was turned over to, but instead only mentions a ‘third-party’. The Saturday CNN journal report also repeats the lie that the Consulate was attacked in relation to anti-islam movie protests in the region. The entire thing is a cover your ass type move.

Let’s timeline this a bit:

On September 11th, our Consulate in Libya is assaulted with RPG’s and a mob attacks our citizens, killing 4 which included our Ambassador. The immediate story is that the attack was the result of an anti-islam film and protests in Egypt and other nations were now going on.

On September 13th, the AP outs the film maker.

On September 14th, literal brownshirts take the film maker into custody for ‘voluntary’ questioning. George Orwell’s 1984 is being played out in front of the nation; a citizen of this country is being hauled in as a scapegoat. It also comes out the film maker was a government informant on parole, but this questioning has little to do with his past crimes. This is about making a show of appeasement for the Muslim world. His family joins him in hiding shortly after as there is now a bounty on their heads because CNN has released all of his personal information – this disclosure of personal information happens on the 17th, after CNN has recovered and reported on Ambassador Stevens journal. See related: ANTI-ISLAM FILMMAKER MAY FACE JAIL TIME.

On the 15th, CNN finds the journal on the floor of the Libyan Consulate:

Four days after he was killed, CNN found a journal belonging to late U.S. Ambassador to Libya Chris Stevens. The journal was found on the floor of the largely unsecured consulate compound where he was fatally wounded.

CNN notified Stevens’ family about the journal within hours after it was discovered and at the family’s request provided it to them via a third party. – CNN – Journal Timeline report

CNN turn the journal over to State Department officials – when CNN did this we aren’t sure, but it is clear the State Department was now in possession of the same information CNN was, yet they and the White House continued to run with the anti-islam movie narrative.

On the 16th, U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice makes an utter fool of herself by blaming the film for the attack that killed Ambassador Stevens, calling them ‘spontaneous attacks’.  I don’t think RPG’s fall under the ‘spontaneous’ category. The top officials in Libya had already brought this information to light, as well as the fact the U.S. was warned three days in advance, and she still parrots the White House stance:

“Our current best assessment, based on the information that we have at present, is that, in fact, what this began as, it was a spontaneous – not a premeditated – response to what had transpired in Cairo,” Rice told [Jake Tapper] this morning on “This Week.” – The Other McCain

It’s also worth noting that OSAC (Overseas Security Advisory Council) scrubbed a memo that stated there were no credible security threats for 9/11 in the region from their website after the Consulate attack. Clearly, the State Department knew there was a terrorist link and were covering their tracks. See Gateway Pundit for the full story and screenshots. With relation to this scrubbing by OSAC, on September 12th there was this from Front Page Magazine via Dan Riehl:

U.S. Drones Being Deployed Against Libyan Insurgency

A senior U.S. official tells CNN that U.S. unmanned surveillance drones are expected to begin flying over Benghazai and other locations in eastern Libya to look for jihadi encampments and targets that may be tied to the attack on U.S. State Department personnel.

The proposal for use of drones is expected to be approved shortly by the Pentagon and the White House, CNN’s Pentagon Correspondent Barbara Starr reported. The official said the plan is for U.S. surveillance drones to gather the intelligence and then hand it off to the Libyans to strike the targets.

Now, if the attack was spontaneous and because of a film, why would we be tasking drones to look for jihadi encampments? Because the government knew at this point that the murders in Benghazi weren’t over a film.

On the 18th, Jay Carney started walking back the narrative that a protest over a film was responsible for the attack on the consulate:

“The cause and motivation behind (the attacks) will be decided by that investigation,” Carney said. “There are other factors that were involved in the violence that ensued – other factors that are involved that are under investigation.” – White House Dossier via Nice Deb

On September 19th, CNN reveals it has an ‘inside source’ from the consulate attacks during an interview with John McCain. That same day, Matt Olsen, the director of the National Counterterrorism Center testified before Congress that he believed this was a terrorist attack. Note the emphasized second statement:

“We are looking at indications that individuals involved in the attack may have had connections to al Qaeda or al Qaeda’s affiliates; in particular, al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb,” he said.

The U.S. government just isn’t sure yet whether the terrorist attack was pre-planned or whether it was an example of terrorists taking advantage of protests against an anti-Islam film, Olsen said. – The Cable, Foreign Policy

On Friday the 21st, CNN discloses it found and used the journal of Ambassador Stevens for their reporting purposes and was their ‘inside source’ mentioned in the 19th report/interview with Anderson Cooper. The State Department comes out blasting CNN for revealing this secret:

CNN gave the document to an Italian official at the State Department’s request, and it is now being returned to the ambassador’s relative.

‘Given the truth of how this was handled, CNN patting themselves on the back is disgusting,’ Mr Reines said in his statement.

‘Whose first instinct is to remove from a crime scene the diary of a man killed along with three other Americans serving our country, read it, transcribe it, email it around your newsroom for others to read and then call the family?’ – Daily Mail UK

Amazing. “Given how the truth of this was handled…” SERIOUSLY?

The State Department blasts CNN for how the network handled it when the State Department itself had the same information CNN did as early as a day after the attack — yet continued to spin it as an anti-islam movie motivated attack. (Related: Planner of Benghazi attack was former GITMO detainee)

On top of the attempt to spin this as the fault of a movie, this administration turned its lapdog media on Mitt Romney for condemning the attacks and the despicable Cairo Embassy tweets. Our embassies are under attack in multiple countries, we have 4 Americans dead and the media isn’t interested in the how or why, but instead on how to coordinate themselves in order to  ‘get’ Mitt Romney??  The President found out about the attacks and WENT TO BED anyway!!!! Hey media — that is your story. President Gutsy Call hitting the hay and getting his beauty rest for his Vegas trip while our embassies and personnel were under attack.

They knew. They knew and tried to cover it up using an American Citizen as their shield. This government knew what really went down there and it wasn’t a movie, but a planned attack resulting from Obama’s appeasement policies and drone strikes throughout the region — of which another drone strike went on in Pakistan that killed 3 people Saturday. Meanwhile in Pakistan, the State Department continues to try to appease; they spent 70 grand on an ad denouncing the anti-islam film:

The American Embassy in Islamabad, in a bid to tamp down public rage over the anti-Islam film produced in the U.S., is spending $70,000 to air an ad on Pakistani television that features President Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton denouncing the video.

The State Department said Thursday the embassy had compiled brief clips of Obama and Clinton rejecting the contents of the movie and extolling American tolerance for all religions into a 30-second public service announcement that is running on seven Pakistani networks. Obama and Clinton’s comments, which are from previous public events in Washington, are in English but subtitled in Urdu, the main Pakistani language. – Fox news

Also note, that yesterday (Sept. 22nd) the Senate voted down a measure that would cut aid to Pakistan, among several other nations – all of which attacked one of our embassies at some point in the last week.  See here and here. (Related: 19 Dead in Mostly Peaceful Pakistani Riots on Day of Love)

So, looking back at all of this, does anyone doubt that CNN, State Department and White House were in communications about what really went down in Benghazi prior to Anderson Cooper and CNN’s report on Friday? It’s a pretty good guess that Cooper got up there and outed the back story to keep from being thrown under the bus by this administration. This move by CNN puts the White House in a weird position since Obama plans to get up in front of the U.N. and blame the movie.  Sounds like he’s getting ready to give a Two Minutes Hate despite the fact we all now see behind the curtain. As the lies crumble, Oceania is rejecting the Ministry of Truth.
