Chicago Warzone Update: 12 and 14 year-old girls shot on South Side

Chicago Sun-Times:

The girls, ages 12 and 14, were outside in the 1300 block of West 117th Street when they were shot just before 8 p.m., said police News Affairs Officer Darryl Baety, citing preliminary information.
The younger girl was shot twice in the abdomen area and was taken in serious condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, police said.
The 14-year-old was shot in the leg and taken in “stable” condition to Roseland Community Hospital, police said.
Area South detectives are investigating the shooting as a possible drive-by attack.

Thankfully, these girls survived and death toll in Chicago remains at 267.
