Chicago Warzone Update: 5 more dead, 8 injured

This weekend, like most of the weekends in 2012, saw more violence in Chicago. It’s gotten so bad, The Chicago Tribune now has homicide map with the current death toll at 254 people:

I’ve been writing about this for several weeks now. Not seeing much in the national news about it. Not even the shooting death of a 7 year old girl by a gang member rated any airtime. That’s not surprising since Rahm Emanuel now runs Chicago Land and it’s President Obama’s home town. Nothing to see here. Move along.

This weekend will add 5 more dead to the total and another 8 injured, including a 3 year old boy.  Reverend Al? Jesse Jackson? Media?  Anyone? *Crickets*
