More shootings and deaths in Chicago this weekend. That makes three weekends in a row since I started tracking this – 14 dead, 2 stabbed and 63 wounded from gunfire. All of this despite over 5,500 weapons being turned in through a Police buy-back program. The city is out of control.

Two teen boys, ages 13 and 14, were among three killed, and at least 26 others were wounded in shootings throughout the city between Friday and early Sunday.
Antonio Davis, 14, of the 800 block of South Eberhart, was gunned down during a possible drive-by shooting shortly before 9 p.m. Friday near the intersection of South Union and West 69th Street, officials said.
The 13-year-old boy — Tyquan Tyler, of the 6500 block of South Rhodes Avenue — died after being shot in the chest in a drive-by shooting about 1:30 a.m. Sunday in the 6200 block of South Rhodes Avenue.
About 30 minutes later, 29-year-old Hansen Jackson was shot several times in the chest in the 3700 block of West Chicago Avenue, and later died at Mount Sinai Hospital.
A 13-year-old boy was one of two people killed, and 13 other people were wounded, in shootings in the city overnight that stretched from Montrose Avenue south to 97th Street, authorities said.
Two other boys, 14 and 15, were shot and wounded while playing basketball on the South Side and a man was shot after a funeral party, also on the South Side, police said. The spree of shootings followed a violent night Friday through Saturday morning when a 14-year-old boy was killed and 13 other people were wounded.
On Saturday, Chicago police said they collected more than 5,500 weapons — ranging from assault weapons to BB guns and replicas — during an annual gun buy-back program. So many guns were turned in, police say they ran out of gift cards to hand out.
