My news feeder brings me all kinds of news – good, bad, funny, sad, and horrific like the following video:
I ran through the rest of my feeds and saw the Blaze had a story up on it. You can read their synopsis and the video above is linked there along with multiple others.
University sponsors campaign to undermine ‘white privilege’
The University of Minnesota – Duluth (UMD) is now sponsoring an ad-campaign designed to achieve “racial justice” by raising awareness of “white privilege.”
The project disseminates its message, that “society was setup for us [whites]” and as such is “unfair,” through an aggressive campaign of online videos, billboards, and lectures. The ads feature a number of Caucasians confessing their guilt for the supposed “privilege” that comes along with their fair features.

Call the school and voice your opinion at (218) 726-8996 or send an e-mail to email@example.com. Tell them Campus Reform sent you.
The self-titled Un-Fair Campaign, is sponsored and supported by the University of Minnesota – Duluth, along with several liberal organizations including the NAACP, YWCA, and The League of Woman Voters.
“You give me better jobs, better pay, better treatment, and a better chance – all because of the color of my skin,” reads one poster that features a close shot of a Caucasian male.
The Un-Fair campaign also held a series of lectures and events on campus last semester. One included a presentation by Tim Wise, author of Dear White America. In his book, Wise confesses a “longstanding fantasy” where he turns to a man with a “God Bless the USA” button and asks him, “why can’t you just get over it?”
These lectures were publicly endorsed by university Chancellor Lendley Black. Black sent a message to the campus community in April describing his effort to “create an inclusive campus climate for all” through providing “support and… leadership to the Un-Fair Campaign.”
Whiskey. Tango. Foxtrot.
I thought the Seas were supposed to be healed and divides bridged. Where is my Hope and Change? Not In Duluth.
This is apparently old news, but I just got it.
I checked out their website, UnfairCampaign.org (only after initiating a proxy connection to hide my IP; I trust very few sites in the age of Brett Kimberlin these days). Nowhere on their site do they list a real person’s contact information, no board members, no staff – nothing. What a bunch of real heroes standing up against racism. So brave they are to launch a site where you have to reach out to them with your information blowing in the wind but you have no idea who they are. All you have is this one woman’s name on the press releases – Ellen O’Neill. Yeah, that’s pretty UNFAIR.
I even did some digging but these people didn’t want to be found. A traceroute/domain look up of their site sent me to a secondary web hosting company which then pointed me to yet another one as to who the registrar for the site was. Both redirects keep their clients names anonymous as part of their services, effectively hiding the identity of these Neo-Racists.
With the domain dead ending, I of course, went after the money. The Duluth Tribune beat me to the question, but didn’t answer it at all. MPR news also tried to dig but came up with nothing – except a common name, Ellen O’Neill of the YMCA. That is the only name you will find on the Unfair site, by the way. She is quoted by both MPR(below) in the Duluth Tribune. In the MPR piece, she outs herself as the leader:
The first goal of the campaign is to call attention to racial disparity in a city that is 90 percent white, said Ellen O’Neill, executive director of the Duluth YWCA, which spearheaded the new initiative.
“We swim in a sea of whiteness, it’s the norm,” O’Neill said. “If we’re white we don’t have to think about it, we don’t see it. So the first step is getting white people to see it.”
I’m willing to go out on a limb here and say this is a group composed of O’Neill and maybe 3-4 people who think she’s in her right mind. I wonder how the YMCA nationally feels about this woman abusing the YMCA name like this – and raising money for her hatred via the YMCA and not a separate account for her “Unfair” group. I say this mainly because they left one little piece of evidence on their information cleansed site linking O’Neill and the YMCA directly to this group: their paypal button.
O’Neill is one of those Social Justice types. She’s been at it a while, as evidenced by her 2006-2007, where she was a speaker at a Social Justice presentation at the Center For Just Living. There is also a Steven O’Neill listed, with St. Louis County Commissioner after his name. No idea if there is a relation since I could find little about him.I can’t find anything about her either. No Facebook, no Twitter (other than the UnfairCampaign) and no LinkedIN. Nada.
Over at Big Hair news, I found they had created a reply to this neo-racist and her revolting pack of self-loathing useful idiots. It’s perfect given the strings of violent attacks, flash mobs and related assaults in the last two years.
