The Coming Manufactured War On Students

We’re getting a preview in North Carolina of the next “war” the Democrats will be declaring: The War On Students.

President Obama is headed to UNC Chapel Hill next Tuesday to talk to students at UNC Chapel Hill about student loan debt. Obama has chosen the most Left leaning school in NC to speak at with the bulk of the students being very sympathetic ears after students protested UNC Chapel Hill’s proposed tuition hikes in February. Those hikes were at 8.8% or an additional $700 a year. It currently costs $20,660 for in-state students and $41,140 for out-of-state students.

WRAL (who didn’t cover the John Edwards/Madam story) reports:

“Raleigh, N.C. — In a visit to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill next week, President Barack Obama will launch an effort to get Congress to prevent interest rates on student loans from doubling in July.”

“Obama will visit UNC and the University of Colorado on Tuesday and the University of Iowa on Wednesday as part of the student loan effort.”

Also, The President has his priorities in order as he will also tape an appearance for Jimmy Fallon’s show while in Chapel Hill:

“Tuesday night’s episode of “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” will be taped at UNC during Obama’s visit, and the president will make an appearance on the show. Ticket information about the taping was unavailable Friday.”

I wonder if Fallon will let his band give the President the ‘Bachmann treatment‘ and let them play ‘Who Let The Dogs Out’.
