“We’re Not Terrorists.” Right.

From the article ‘Occupy Memphis, tea party members meet‘ I saw on Yahoo!

“The Occupy movement has remained adamant about not drafting a list of demands because terrorists make demands, and we’re not terrorists,” said Pope, a graphic design student. “We shouldn’t have to demand a democratic process.”

Occupying a space illegally, purposeful civil unrest actions that in lead to arrest, destruction of private property, attempted arson, trying to shut down business, interfering with the daily lives of people unrelated to your movement in order to make yourself “heard”  makes Occupy actually quite like terrorists. The activities of this movement are meant to exact submission via threat of riots and worse.

1. the use of violence and threats to intimidate or coerce, especially for political purposes.

2. the state of fear and submission produced by terrorism or terrorization.

3. a terroristic method of governing or of resisting a government.
